3D Printing Aluminium

3D Printing in Aluminium. Strong & Durable Service

3D print your design in Aluminium and select from a range of different alloys.
Aluminium is 3D printed using the DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) or SLM process. By melting a fine Aluminium alloy powder with a laser we are able to produce your design one layer at a time. When your design is complete we remove any supports and finish the part to your requirements. The Aluminium powder used is then reclaimed for the next print job.
Aluminum 3d Printing Service can offer a cost effective solution when comparing to more traditional ‘subtractive’ manufacturing methods. Especially for complex or intricate parts, the complexity of the design does not add to the overall manufacturing cost as it would with traditional machining methods. The following list details our range of Aluminiums and their characteristics;

Aluminium AlSi10Mg

AlSi10Mg is our standard Aluminium material for 3d printing
This particular alloy demonstrates outstanding mechanical properties such as high hardness, tensile strength and fatigue performance while possessing an almost pore free structure and being impermeable. The properties of the material are further enhanced due to the specific process used (DMLS/SLM) which produces components with greater mechanical properties than traditional casting methods.
The mechanical properties of AlSi10Mg are complemented with its excellent corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity as well as its high dynamic toughness and thermal conductivity.

Applications:

AlSi10Mg is ideally suited for design applications requiring light weight parts with outstanding mechanical properties. Components made from this alloy can also undergo a number of post-processing treatment including heat-treatment, machining, welding, eroding, micro-blasting, polishing or coating.

Our High-Performance Aluminium Alloy

We also offer a high-performance aluminium alloy developed for applications that require a combination of strength, low density, and durability. This material is suitable for demanding industries where weight reduction and mechanical performance are important considerations.

The mechanical properties of this alloy can be further improved through suitable heat-treatment processes, allowing us to achieve enhanced strength and performance for demanding applications.

Finally, components made from this aluminium alloy can be welded and demonstrate excellent corrosion resistance.

Applications:

With a combination of high strength and low density, our high-performance aluminium alloy is ideally suited to High-Precision 3D Printing Services in Malaysia. These include motorsport, vehicle manufacturing, and aerospace industries.

Additionally, with a strong strength-to-density ratio and high toughness characteristics, this material is well suited to demanding and safety-critical applications. Get in touch with our professionals right now.
